Dear OBC Supporter,
We are delighted to announce the programme for the choir's annual summer
concert which will take place on Saturday 19th June at 7.30pm in the
Sheldonian.
Opening with the magnificent Zadok the Priest, we will be joined by the
Oxford-based period ensemble Charivari Agréable who will also perform
Bach’s Orchestral Suite No 3 in D, with its sublime Air on a G String.
Soloists Grace Davidson (soprano), Amy Haworth (soprano), Simon Ponsford
(counter-tenor), William Petter (tenor) and Giles White (bass) will then
join choir and orchestra for a performance of Dixit Dominus, Handel’s
virtuoso setting of Psalm 110 and a work full of energy and Mediterranean
sunshine. The perfect concert for a summer’s evening.
Tickets are available to purchase from the Oxford Playhouse Box Office
(01865 305305) or from <mailto:tickets@oxfordbachchoir.org>. For more
